Brands
Every make fails in its own way.
After twenty-five years the brand matters less than the mechanism — but each manufacturer builds differently, and each has faults it is known for. Here is what yours tends to do.
We service desktop and office printers from every major manufacturer — laser and inkjet. The important differences between brands are architectural: whether the drum is part of the toner cartridge or a separate consumable, how the machine counts and reports cartridge life, and how it handles waste ink or waste toner. Those three things decide what goes wrong and what a repair involves.
The three differences that actually matter
Where the drum lives
On most HP and Canon laser cartridges the drum is built into the cartridge, so a new cartridge is a new drum. Brother separates them — the toner cartridge clips into a drum unit with its own, much longer life. That single design choice changes what a "replace drum" warning means and what refilling involves.
How cartridge life is counted
Almost nobody measures toner or ink. They count pages against a chip. How strictly a machine enforces that count — whether you can override it, reset it, or must replace the chip — varies by manufacturer and is the main thing that decides how straightforward refilling is on a given model.
What happens to waste
Lasers collect waste toner inside the cartridge. Inkjets collect waste ink in an absorbent pad and count what they have used, then stop when that counter fills. Canon and Epson both do this, and it accounts for a good share of inkjets that appear to have died suddenly.
Not listed? Call anyway — most makes share the same handful of mechanisms, and a pickup roller is a pickup roller whoever put the badge on it.
Independent service. We are an independent repair and refilling workshop. We are not an authorised any manufacturer service centre and have no affiliation with any manufacturer. any manufacturer names and model numbers are used only to describe the machines we work on. If your printer is still under manufacturer warranty, it is usually worth using that first — and we will say so.

Common questions
Do you service every brand?
Every major make of desktop and office printer, and most others besides. The mechanisms are far more similar than the badges suggest.
Are you an authorised service centre?
No. We are an independent workshop with no manufacturer affiliation. If your machine is under warranty it is usually worth using that first, and we will tell you so.
Does using an independent repairer void my warranty?
It can affect manufacturer cover on some machines. If you are still in warranty, check the terms — and it is often better to use the warranty while you have it.
Which brand is most reliable?
Duty cycle matters more than badge. A machine used within what it was designed for lasts; one pushed past it wears fast whoever made it.
