What a toner refill actually depends on.
We do not publish a price list, because a number without your cartridge in front of us would be a guess. Here is what genuinely moves the cost, so the conversation is a short one.
The cost of refilling a toner cartridge depends on four things: how much toner the cartridge holds, whether it is monochrome or colour, whether it needs a chip reset or a replacement chip, and what condition the drum and wiper blade are in. A high-yield colour set and a small monochrome cartridge are not comparable jobs.
What moves the number

Cartridges are rated by how many pages they are designed to produce. A high-yield cartridge holds substantially more toner than the standard version of the same cartridge, and costs proportionally more to fill.
Colour or monochrome
Colour means four cartridges rather than one, and colour toner costs more per gram. A colour set is a different order of job.
Whether it needs a chip
Many cartridges carry a chip that counts down and keeps reporting empty after refilling. Some can be reset; some need a replacement chip. That is a real cost difference between two otherwise identical cartridges.
The condition it arrives in
A cartridge on its first refill with a clean drum is straightforward. One with a worn wiper blade or a scored drum needs parts, or needs retiring. We would rather tell you it is finished than take your money and hand back something that streaks.
Why we would rather you called
A published list would be wrong for most people who read it. Cartridge prices move, models come and go, and the same cartridge in different condition is a different job. Thirty seconds on the phone with the cartridge code — or just the printer model — gets you an accurate answer instead of a range.
What is worth knowing before you call
- The printer make and model, or the cartridge code printed on the cartridge
- Whether it is colour or monochrome
- Roughly how many times it has been refilled before, if you know
- Whether the last print was clean, or already showing streaks or fading
None of it is essential. The model alone is usually enough.
Common questions
Why do you not publish prices?
Because a list would be wrong for most people reading it. The same cartridge in different condition is a different job, and prices move. We would rather give you an accurate answer on the phone than an inaccurate one on a page.
Is refilling cheaper than a new cartridge?
Generally yes, and meaningfully so — that is why it is worth doing. But it depends on the cartridge, and on whether yours is still in good enough condition to refill well.
How do I find my cartridge code?
It is usually printed on the cartridge itself, often on the label or moulded into the plastic. If you cannot find it, the printer model is enough for us to work it out.
